From Classic Living Room To Current Living Room With Paint

The color and accessories have allowed us to completely change the style of this room. The starting point was unbeatable, a royal apartment in Madrid with moldings and herringbone flooring. Interior designer Paula Duarte tells us the keys to transformation.

1. CLASSIC, WITH A NEUTRAL BASE

Bruguer’s Solid Gray color fills the room with warmth and light. A color like this sand shade reflects about 80% of the natural light it receives. The Bruguer Ultra Resist range also has the advantage that it repels stains and has an always perfect matte finish.

2. THE ARCHITECT OF CHANGE

“This is a clear example of the power of painting to transform a space,” explains interior designer Paula Duarte, architect of change. “We had an unbeatable base, a royal Madrid apartment, to which we have made a radical change without touching a single main piece of furniture.”

3. WITH FIBER AND WOOD FURNITURE

“For the first proposal,” adds Paula, “we chose Solid Gray from Bruguer’s Ultra Resist range. A clear and timeless base that envelops the living room with a very cozy feminine air. It looks great with light wood and fiber furniture and textiles in washed tones. ”

4. FEMININE CUSHIONS

Cushions are the fastest and most effective way to transform a neutral sofa. Here we combine plain cushions in shades of pink and washed green. The star piece is the floral print cushions that put a natural touch. They are made with Designers Guild fabric, in User.

5. THE FRESH TOUCH OF RATTAN

FRESH TOUCH OF RATTAN

The rattan armchairs are one of the changes that we introduced in this room. They are light, give a fresh air and combine well with this shade of paint. Fibers are also present in braided baskets and candleholders that decorate various corners of the room with their warmth.

6. THE WOODS, CLEAR

“We chose light wood furniture that was not coordinated, but that fit well,” explains Paula. “They have curved shapes and design touches, like their legs.” Like the console in front of the window, the nightstand or the cabinet with wall shelves

7. SOPHISTICATED AND CONTEMPORARY, IN BLUISH GRAY

In the other living room proposal, Bruguer’s Denim Ultra Resist Gray color fills the room with sophistication. This intense shade stands out in contrast to the moldings and the rose ceiling, painted in white, and the noble architecture of the living room takes center stage. The washed wooden furniture, the same as in the previous room, put a necessary counterpoint of warmth. While the geometric rug adds style.

8. AN ELEGANT CONTRAST

“Painting with darker colors can give some vertigo, but in a room like this, with plenty of natural light and white ceilings and carpentry, it is perfect. In addition, a bolder color always adds personality to any space and is an opportunity to risk a little in decoration, “explains Paula.

9. RICH TEXTURES

The same sofa is filled with elegance with the combination of fur and velvet cushions. We mix earth tones with mustard and some blue touch.

10. WITH LEATHER SEATS

WITH LEATHER SEATS

The leather color of the armchairs combines very well with the Denim Gray of the walls. Its low design with teak wood structure adds a modern air to the space. In this room, we also invert the position of the consoles on the wall and the window.

11. IN WHITE AND BLUE

They are two colors that combine great with the bluish gray of the wall. White gives it the light it needs and blue is a relaxing color that with wood and touches of black is super elegant.
