Furniture Houses With A Beautiful Love Story

Houses are much more than four walls. But these five, in addition, put together a beautiful love story. From youth crushes or family ties, to destiny calls to finally be happy.

1. THE HOUSE WHERE HE PLAYED AS A CHILD.

Can you imagine being able to buy the house where you played as a kid with your best friend and where you treasure unforgettable moments? What if we also told you that it is in the Pics de Europa itself? It is not surprising that Esther’s husband launched himself without hesitation, despite the reluctance of his wife, who was more in favor of buying a house … on the beach!

HOUSE WHERE HE PLAYED AS A CHILD

A TYPICAL HOUSE IN A TOWN.

It is on the same mountain, in the Pics de Europa. And it has it all! Stone, low ceilings and some fantastic woods that have been recovered. From Madrid, they traveled every weekend to supervise the reform.

A MODERN DINING ROOM WITH A SUCCESSFUL MIX OF STYLES.

The house is one of the oldest in the town, that’s why and because of the wonderful memories it brought, the owner did not want to change its essence during the works. In spite of everything, windows were opened to let more light in, such as the large and back-room dining room, and the white for walls, ceilings and beams was chosen. In addition, many of the original furniture were discussed and restored, such as the dining room trunk.

A BEDROOM RESCUED FROM ITS LOFT FUNCTION.

“I love how the rooms looked, with exposed beams and a blank ceiling, to think they were like an old warehouse!” Recalls Esther. Do not miss the complete history of this house and its meticulous and exciting reform.

2. THE HOUSE THAT WAS A DREAM OF YOUTH, LOVE OF MATURITY.

HOUSE THAT WAS A DREAM OF YOUTH

When the current owner of this house was a kid, he used to stop with his bike in front of this lumberjack-style cabin and dream that someday it would be his. Years passed and when it seemed that that dream of youth could not materialize … the cabin went on sale. “It was run down and dark, but we didn’t doubt it for a moment,” recalls Lara Valley, from Space Stage, the owner and interior designer of this cabin.

A ROOM THAT LOOKS AT THE FOREST DESIGNED TO SHARE.

It took more than three years of works to prepare the house, but it was worth it. The living room, surrounded by large windows, has been planned so that when the four children, two respectively from their previous marriages, meet, they fit together without restrictions.

AN OPEN KITCHEN MADE OF WOOD.

The day area was designed for family enjoyment and receiving friends, so the kitchen was set up open and with the dining room integrated, so life goes on around it. And so that it didn’t clash with the rest of the cabin, it was covered in wood, from the cabinets to the walls. Do you want to do the house tour?

3. YOU TO THE BEACH AND I TO THE MOUNTAINS? THIS HOUSE IS A TWO IN ONE!

beach and mountain house

This house united two positions that, a priori, seemed irreconcilable. Mate dreamed of having a farmhouse, with its wooden beams and fireplace, while Raft, her husband, was more of a Mediterranean house, close to the sea. They spent years looking for the house that could combine both desires and when they gave the mission for lost … this house literally crossed their path.

A LIVING ROOM OPEN TO THE KITCHEN WITH SEA VIEWS.

“I visited her for work. But it was a crush. Just getting to the door I had a feeling of peace and good vibes … And when I saw the fireplace and the beams, there was no doubt! I had my rustic farmhouse and Raft his house with large windows “. That does not mean that they reformed it from top to bottom, starting with the day area, which unified it so that from all the spaces, including the kitchen, you could see the sea.

A MODERN KITCHEN WITH A COUNTRY FLAVOR.

It was in the kitchen that Maine was able to unleash her rustic passion. It retained the original bell, reminiscent of those of the old country houses, and opted for furniture with tapered fronts and shell handles, which give just the right rustic touch. Discover the rest of the spaces in the  house.

4. THE HOUSE OF HAPPINESS.

HOUSE OF HAPPINESS

This house was predestined for Eva. And vice versa, because when she decided to move, this was the first house she liked … but when she called to visit, the owners had backed out. She spent over a year finding a replacement and when she was one step away from throwing in the towel, the house reappeared on her computer! “I was the first to visit it, and just by setting foot in the garden I had it clear: ‘I’ll keep it.’”

A LARGER LIVING ROOM WITH VIEWS OF THE GARDEN.

Despite the fact that she loved the house as it was, Eva was encouraged to do works because the distribution did not fit her. And she came out winning! Because it expanded the living room, opened the kitchen and now all the spaces have exterior views. “For the first time I feel happy and comfortable at home. And that’s because I have lived in 5 different houses!”

A KITCHEN WITH AN EXTRA WARMTH.

The kitchen is one of the cornerstones of the house, because it is open to the living room and in turn communicates with the hall, and also integrates the dining room. So Eva feared, seeing it finished, that it would be too cold. El Mumble decorator and stylist Sol van Dorset gave her the warmth Eva sought. “The charm of this house? It is a matter of the Sun. The house, without the Sun, would not be the same.” Discover it !

5. A HOUSE WITH DNA.

HOUSE WITH DNA

Three generations of the same family have lived in this house: Amie’s grandmother, her mother and, for a few years, her. “My grandmother’s illusion was that I lived in this house. She was like a second mother to me, and when I inherited her house I wanted to keep its structure as much as possible and keep some pieces. Here is my story,” she summarizes. Keep the beautiful lamp in the living room and discover its history.

A MODERN DINING ROOM WITH STYLE CONTRASTS.

Although the architecture of the apartment is stately, Amie wanted a comfortable and relaxed home, without giving up its history, that’s why the decorator Natalia gave personality to the dining room, which is halfway between the kitchen and the living room, with a large table made of rustic wood and a black metal lamp, matching the chairs, also black.

A RECOVERED WARDROBE WITH A LOT OF EMOTIONAL CHARGE.

This wardrobe was from Amie’s grandmother, so the interior designer did not hesitate to retrieve it, for its beauty and emotional value. It was partially painted in white and is now one of the jewels in the house. Like the spectacular wooden floor, an original herringbone flooring that Amie struggled to preserve. And it was worth it!
